"A Love Story"

DitzyKat The title says it all, each track feels like a part of an overarching story, and it's great.
I adore the contrast between songs like Dad as Whiskey, Prize Fighter, & Place I Wanna Go.
Choosing between Place I Wanna Go & Going To Hell for my favorite track was very difficult, chose GTH since the vocal performance is top tier. Great debut album, can't wait for more! Favorite track: Going To Hell.

Florian Kohl It's no track-titled record, but you'll know why Spacefish called their album a love story, once you listened to it.

These 9 tracks will take you on board for a journey you won't forget - and as soon as you're back home you will want to be taken along again and again.

But all you sensitive souls beware: Just like every good trip, it's not only sunny and stuff, but there is darkness along the way you need to discover to enjoy the lift off even more! Favorite track: Your Dad as Whiskey.

(Translation) SPACEFISH HAS LANDED! Ma'am what do you think? (I don't know)
2.
I'll take a spaceship to the moon and fly home from there The things I think I love most aren't here They're there So pull out the worm in your head cause it's wrong cause your scared And suddenly all of this starts to show up and make sense and seem so, so clear and so near, my Prize Fighter Look at the stars at night You can't tell me you're alone As black as it gets, as plain as it feels You can't tell me what you know (What do you know?) So whatdoya know, whatdoya know: we're going home from here So take a deep breath, take one last breath of your Earth and her air, my Prize Fighter
3.
I’ve been broken Will you help me up, my son? I can’t get enough: Whiskey! in my blood Look to my boiling eyes You’ll find yourself in mine Cheers! to my boiling eyes: Whiskey! drink up, son I got a broken nail It’s in my heart somewhere You think you got the cure? Whiskey! drink some more I’ll teach you how to fish just give me one more chance We might be a per-perfect fit: Whiskey! hit the floor
4.
There’s a place I wanna go (Tell me about it) It’s a place that you should know (Is it a secret?) It’s a place I’d call a home (I don’t believe it) Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go I can take you there (Will you take me there?) Maybe we can share it, all alone (Tell me the secret) It’s the place I hold the dearest (No, no, no) No, I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry that this hurts (Oh so much) It’s the pain I know’s the worst (Tell me about it) — (I don’t believe it) Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go Well I’m sorry you can’t go

Trees (1, 2) 02:44
I can't sleep at night I just don't know why all these thoughts keep racing my head, but, yeah, I'm doing alright Breath of fresh air I want, hold it inside of my lungs Hold it until I can fall down and pass out in the lawn
6.
I know the roses are dead from my head to my hand and back out my mouth again It doesn’t seem to smell like shit. But I’m wrong often enough. Depending basically on where I’ll be in ten more years It sucks; I couldn’t see myself get older It hurts the worst when my eyes fall out of my head, out of my hands The situations overturning my thought process is melting over I can’t help but hold on tight to what I have, to what is left It don’t seem right to get this older. You point that finger again and I swear to Christ: I’ll bite it off It won’t seem to hurt as bad or worse or better yet then when you coulda had them all— gone (I’m so gone) I’m all— done (choking on my tongue)
7.
I been shakin’ waitin’ holdin’ for a long, long time I can’t help it I know I won’t want to sit alone & die Please.... Rest in Pieces (Chorus) I can’t hold it don’t need it want it anymore, so take it back Everybody’s been wanting more from me been wanting more from me You gotta take it all back & lest me rest now (Chorus) & (Interjection) I been dug in strugglin’ I dug myself deeper than this hell Everybody’s been wanting more from me more from me You gotta take it all back now & let me be (Chorus) & (Interjection) When I get back I will sorrow sorrow Until I die again If I don’t go I will be back for more back for more Lord, have mercy on my grave soul (Chorus) & (Interjection)
8.
I know I shouldn’t go to hell but I will if you let me (I’ll) say bye to all that I know (I’ll) give it up for you If that’s what you want I know, I know: I won’t be alone there will be many others there will be many more So down a dead, dead road with a dead, dead end in the dead, dead cold Is that what you want? Terra-Bill left his wife, broken inside with a knife still in her He told me he could never love again But, after all, what’s a tear or a ball in the head when the floor’s leaning west and your heart ain’t there It’s rolling down a dead, dead road with a dead, dead end in the dead, dead cold Is that what you want? Grim-Jim left a candle lit He told me he were only ten But, all in all, when a candle falls to the bed and the floor’s leaning west and your hands ain’t there It rolls down a dead, dead road with a dead, dead end at a decade old Is that what you want? God-Awful tossed in bed until he pissed himself He laughed for Old Time’s sake and then he pulled his pistol off of the shelf I don’t mean to sound so mean, but that gold bullet exploded his brain into pieces so tiny and gray that I could tell he’d been waiting, praying, praying for this day Is that what you want? I know I shouldn’t go to hell but I will if you let me (I’ll) say bye to all that I know (I’ll) give it up for you If that’s what you want

Lift Off! 01:52
I'm so happy I could fly away from my home I don't think my mom would mind if I leave her a note People talking They don't know what they're talking about I don't see any point at all In hanging around Feet are falling watch your steps and walk real slow Go ahead and blast your head off the frame of the door People watching They don't know what they're missing so I don't see any fame at all in bleeding to go
