Die like we used to when the Earth was wild. Why don't we use you in a better life? Lie on your forehead. Tell the kids they're right that when you feel so alive you're in The Great Denial. Die like we all do; keep that in your mind. My, what we've cum to! Come into the light! Lie in your bedroom. Tell them all you're tired & when you feel so alive, you're in The Great Denial. (What do we do?) (Die like we all do?)

We Are Jesus walking with our heads in water. please don't lean on me and chip away at my sunday morning face the holy rain, it smells like sweat to me. We Are Demons fighting with our underwater. please don't dig that hole and chip away at my sunday morning face the holy rain, it smells like sweat to me.

Bodie 02:43
NARRATOR: See, you've always been apart of me. From the very beginning. That's why I want to tell you a story. (music signaled, the soft fuzz of a record being played) Bodie was a gentleman He was acting real cool all by his self Trying to make the most of it Living in a halfway house Cherry couldn't handle it She was sitting on the porch outside that house Messing with her thumbs again Biting on the needle till the blood ran out of her heart & her whole rotting echo wouldn't let go like Gravity, "Feel the squeeze of my love." Doctors hate repeating it: The Life. They've been messing with the skeletons all the time. I'm looking for the right way to die When I know I won't go back to sleep tonight But Bodie couldn't handle it He was missing his best friend all the time Reminiscing what it meant to go outside with her heart and her whole rotting echo wouldn't let go like Gravity, "Feel the squeeze of my heart." & my whole rotting echo rattled my world like Gravity, "Feel the squeeze of my —" [EPILOGUE] Bodie was a gentleman when he called the ambulance. He bled out right Bled out nice & warm. (lights dim then wisp away) NARRATOR: But you are part of me, part of the universe. That is a certainty, yeah?

I started out a tadpole and now I'm a frog I started underwater, now I sleep on a log I turn to smooth to bumpy & it is because: I'm not a tadpole anymore I'm a frog I can leap with incredible ease I'm at home on the earth or in trees I started swimming 'round in this tiny pond then suddenly grew legs like someone waved a magic wand It seems amazing to change as much as this: To turn into a frog when I was more like the fish So now that I have changed there's no telling what I'll do I feel a magic power you can feel it, too If you're stuck in a mud it feels like crazy glue There might be something else that you could do, too —Rosie Rainbow

I'm so happy I could fly away from my home. I don't think my mom would mind if I leave her a note. People talking. They don't know what they're talking about I don't see any point at all in hanging around. Feet are falling. Watch your step & walk real slow. Go ahead & blast your head off the frame of the door. People watching. They don't know what they're missing so I don't see any fame at all in bleeding to go.

Veins 04:19
The veins in my hands move when I get mad. I've got sisters peeling blisters off these callouses! I'm coveting the shadows, hiding where I sleep. I'm hiding from the cattle, away from all the sheep! You'll never know the difference. The veins in my hand bruise when I relax. I've six-six-six new weapons sticking from my back! I'm coveting the shadows, hiding where I sleep. I'm hiding from the cattle, away from all the sheep! You'll never know the difference. These god-damn hands can't hold anything. I keep them in my pockets! I keep them in my jeans! Hiding in some closet; somewhere you can't breathe. Holding on to what you love from your enemies.

Dinner 4 4 05:08
I can't compensate. My consciousness is getting thin. My dinner is already done, but I'm not getting full enough of meat or cabbages.Pork and beans keep filling heads. Overflowing acid baths while choking on the aftermath of love: Please don't undertake my love. I'm all out of help. My steadiness is getting dim. Silence hits the silverware and I'm not old enough to carry weight in broccoli. Passing on the cottage cheese. Holding scepters made of plastic, acting like it's not that tough of love: Please don't undertake my love. Under mine own elbows, paper-thin napkins, catching where the blood runs in & out of patterns of peace. One by one, still not feeling full enough. Dip my hands into the ice cream cake & take my own slice of love: Please don't undertake my love.

Building a family is hard work. Taking the time, making the dirt.. Digging the hole, you need to breathe. You're doing this for the family. Building a family is tough luck. Water your wife. Get your son. All you need is room to breathe. The rest is for the family.
